Alt. Boon Prot. Possible?
Hey, I was naming all of the variants for energy management for Boon Prots when I stumbled upon Air of Enchantment. I dont know if this was attempted before but I thought, what the hey, post it in the forums and see if it has been tested yet.
Here is the build: http://www.gwshack.us/410e7
If there is anything wrong with using this skill in Boon/Protting, please inform me.

The problem with AoE is that you can only cast it on one person at a time and the effect only works on them. If you try to heal someone else, you lose the effect and you're stuck with a lack of elite energy management.
Maybe in RA/TA, but I can't see it happening in serious GvG.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. Short duration and long recharge. Well, that shatters that dream. It wouldve worked if the duration was a tad longer but I guess that AoE is only for Smiters...
At least I managed to talk one of my guildies out of trying to use Cultists Fervor in Boon Prots...

I think AoE is extremly usefull for smiters, but for a boon prot e-drain or MoR are way much better as energy management. Thought i haven't tested your build yet, i'll use it later in some GvG's.
Basicly, to actually use AoE, you must cast it on ally then cast your main prot skills, rof, ps or guardian. While your ally takes massive damage, the first spell you use on him must have powerful prot powers to save his ass from dieing. AoE doesnt really help much at this. My 0.02$, but as i said, will try the build later.

It's actually not that bad an idea if you have two boon prots and a smiter all running around with it. You hit someone with it on them reguarly enough to make it come out at MoR efficiency. The problem is you can't split with it - any decent team will just hammer you if you're on your own because you can't self energy manage.

It is more effective on a smiter that can both use it and can help out the boonprots with it. The boonprots will still hit the smiter's AoE, but they still retin their own elite emanagement. I wouldn't even consider running this on a boonprot, not even in RA/TA. In RA/TA, the monk is generally the first attacked, and this doesn't do anything for that situation.

One of the main problems i noticed right away is that it cost 5 energy to use, so the first enchantment you use its gonna have the same energy cost... but the second one will be less energy so i don't think AoE is an option for a boon prot because after the boon takes effect its only saving 3 energy and only on the spells used after the first inital spell is casted.
When i monk i seldom hit a target with more than 3 enchants, so the 2 enchants after the first would save me 6 energy and then 8 secs later i have to cast AoE again, just seems like a hard sell to me.
